YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Market Access organization is mission-critical in achieving the commercial potential of all products and is integrated into all stages of a products lifecycle. By proactively identifying strategic market access drivers and ensuring that the payor perspective is integrated in every stage of a products lifecycle, Market Access supports the efficient development of differentiated products thereby generating value for patients, physicians, and payors. This position assumes the role of Project Leader HEOR responsible for developing and successfully embedding health economic and outcomes research solutions to optimize pricing and reimbursement of Bayer products with main countries (all regions).
Key Tasks: The Project Leader Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) is responsible for:
- Leading the development and execution of a global, comprehensive, and scientifically rigorous GHEOR program that is aligned with the commercial and market access strategies for the brand(s) and with the key countries
- Responsible for driving the collaborative generation of a payer evidence strategy and the evidence deliverables (e.g.: payer-perspective in clinical trials, Real Life studies, patient reported outcomes, resource data collection, statistical analyses incl. Network meta- analyses and economic models) and their communication through Global Value Dossiers (GVD), publications, etc for a Bayer product /indication together with the main countries and the cross-functional GMACS team
- Ensuring that the market access and payer perspective is integrated in the target product profile, the clinical development program(s), the Real-Life Evidence development program(s), and in the commercial strategy of the brand(s)
- Providing timely strategic recommendations to early clinical development programs by identifying appropriate comparators, target patient populations, and endpoints (clinical, economic, patient reported outcomes) aimed at ensuring differentiation for the purpose of relative value demonstration, and by giving input to portfolio reviews.
- Coordinating a common global strategy and package for submissions to health technology assessment (HTA) agencies in securing reimbursement
- Together with the global market access team develop value propositions and proactively identifying evidence requirements to support relative value demonstration and product differentiation
- Representing the GHEOR function, managing effective communications with various internal global/regional team(s), as well as appropriate external forums and meetings
WHO YOU ARE - Master's degree (MSc, MPH) in health services research, public health, epidemiology, or health economics or an MBA required
- Doctoral degree (PhD, DRPH, ScD) in health services research, public health, epidemiology, or health economics or a doctoral degree in a clinical discipline (medicine, pharmacy, nursing) preferred
- 5 years experience working in HEOR, Market Access and/or closely related areas in a pharmaceutical company, including a major fraction of experience in Global roles and in high-level HTA countries (e.g., UK, Canada, Scandinavia)
- In depth knowledge of clinical research especially clinical drug studies and drug development strategies; hands on experience in the evaluation of health care interventions and conducting health economics, health related quality of life, and/or health services research studies
- In depth knowledge of global health care systems and understanding the needs for health technology assessment and market access; experience in preparing materials for reimbursement
- Ability to manage a significant volume of projects with exercise of good triage and judgment skills, publication, and cross-functional team leadership experience desirable • Excellent judgment in conflict management, negotiation and influence, excellent process and project management skills required
- Excellent interpersonal skills required: ability to understand and respond to multiple internal and external customer demands
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
